Our Commitment to SEND: Inclusive, Tailored Support

Our Commitment to SEND:

Inclusive, Tailored Support

Salam Community Schooling

At the Salaam Community Hub, we believe that every child deserves an environment where they are understood, valued, and empowered to succeed. Our commitment to Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is not an afterthought—it is woven directly into the fabric of our core framework.

Traditional, age-rigid classrooms can often leave neurodivergent children or those with specific learning needs feeling frustrated or left behind. That is exactly why our flexible, Montessori-inspired approach is so effective. By removing arbitrary benchmarks and focusing on "Stage, Not Age," we allow the educational and holistic pathways to adapt to the child, rather than forcing the child to adapt to the system.

We view SEND support as a deep partnership with families. Whether we are helping you navigate Local Authority funding, unlocking your child's unique talents through a strengths-based approach, or curating a calm, sensory-friendly workspace, our primary focus is your child's total well-being.

Personalized Pathways ("Stage, Not Age")

Our flexible "Stage, Not Age" framework is naturally designed for children with diverse learning profiles. By removing rigid, age-based expectations, we allow your child to progress at their exact level of readiness, transforming academic frustration into confident, independent learning.

Strengths-Based & Sensory Focus

We focus on unlocking and nurturing your childs unique talents rather than simply managing their challenges. Our calm, inclusive environments are designed with sensory access in mind, utilizing specialized, hands-on materials to support focus, comfort, and emotional regulation.

Secure, automated monthly contributions via GoCardless, held in our non-profit instruction fund for total peace of mind.

Actively Building Our Support Structure

We are actively finalising our comprehensive SEND framework ahead of our September launch. Behind the scenes, our team is completing specialised SEN training modules, establishing formal support partnerships with the Local Authority, and curating adaptive resources so we are fully equipped to support your family from day one.

Navigating SEND Funding (EHCPs & Personal Budgets)

We understand that securing the right educational support can be a financial concern. If your child has an active Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), our team is here to help you navigate the system. We can work alongside you to explore how Local Authority direct payments or EHCP personal budgets can be utilized to help fund your childs tailored pathway at the Hub.
